Privacy Policy

Summary

ConsultCalc does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email to use the conversions, and does not store the values you enter. All conversions run entirely in your browser. We use a small set of third-party services (web hosting, optional advertising, optional analytics) described below.

Information we collect

Conversion inputs. The values you type into a converter are processed in your browser only. They are not transmitted to or stored on any server operated by ConsultCalc.

Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard request information when you visit a page: IP address, user agent, referring page, and the URL requested. These logs are retained for a limited period for operational and security purposes.

Email correspondence. If you email us, we keep that email so we can respond. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit opt-in.

Cookies and similar technologies

ConsultCalc itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party services listed below may set their own cookies in accordance with their privacy policies.

Advertising

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. For more information about how Google uses data, see Google's Partner Sites policy.

Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views, referrers). If we add analytics, we will favor providers that do not require cookies and that anonymize IP addresses.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up for the linked service. Affiliate links do not affect the price you pay. Where a page contains affiliate links, we disclose this on the page.

Children

ConsultCalc is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the EU under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we do not maintain user accounts, the data we hold is typically limited to email correspondence and routine server logs. To exercise any such rights, email hello@consultcalc.com.
